Oldies but Goodies

I am digging through my portfolio getting ready for an exhibition in October, and I found these photos from a shoot with Ingrid Michaelson circa 2006. The shots were taken at Mansfield Hollow in Mansfield, CT.

I will be showing with painter extraordinaire, Jennifer Duff. Come check out her art opening entitled New Works in Pastel. I just finished photographing the artwork for the exhibition, and I promise it is beautiful! I am even featured in one of her portraits!!! Opening information is as follows:

More of Billy Keane and the Lonely Soldiers

I've been doing some more editing for Billy Keane and the Lonely Soldiers. They have some new recordings in the making, a website coming soon, and possibly a very good manager...keep an eye out for their upcoming album!

The Self Portrait Sessions

Today I took some self-portraits. I'm pretty pleased with how they came out, and I have some new ideas for my photo shoot with Maggie in October. I have been getting really into mirrors and Christmas lights. I need to move away from this as I end up very sweaty (too many lights producing heat).

Billy Keane and the Lonely Soldiers...Take 2

The Billy Keane and the Lonely Soldiers photo-shoot series continues...
Today we strung up even more lights and added more continuous lighting with umbrellas. I shot these standing on a chair, trying to navigate umbrellas, in a very confined space. Very precarious, but very worth it. They are coming back for an outdoor photo-shoot next week. Send me your ideas! I'll be hitting the sketchbooks tomorrow.

The Farrel Goldberg Wedding

Here are a few select shots (from hundreds!) of the wedding of Sarah Goldberg and Mark Farrel. It was such a beautiful wedding, and I wish both of them happiness in their marriage!

Sarah looking ethereal amongst the trees.

My favorite shot!

Groomsmen.

Beautiful Jocelyn

I dug up some old photographs from a photo-shoot I did, exploring some new lighting equipment. Here is a beauty shot of Jocelyn. I love the lighting here, and I hope to be able to recreate this with Billy Keane and the Lonely Soldiers (the band I am working with now). I will have to train them to "work the camera"!

Billy Keane and the Lonely Soldiers

I am doing a photo-shoot for the up-and-coming band, Billy Keene and the Lonely Soldiers. Their website forthcoming, but hopefully I will be able to post some links to their music in the next few weeks. I will be doing three photo-shoots with them with three different set-ups of my design. This is a very exciting project for me, and I have been madly sketching and testing lights and flashes.

This first photo-shoot called for a LOT of lights, and some good times taping, overloading electrical circuits, and trying to pose the guys in a very confined space! These are a few of the test shots. Today we'll be setting up even more lights, and hopefully getting some better shots.

This shot came out pretty grainy, but I like the idea of the futuristic black and white shot with lots of lights and reflective surfaces. The boys actually like the grainy, under-produced look, so maybe I will try to recreate this look in the official photo-shoot. Check back soon!
